Better a Late Punk...

I'm all about the anarchy. (As in, better late than never?)

I've been a huge slacker lately but I wanted to finally drop in and say hi. Even though I haven't posted here yet I've been in contact with both my secret pal and secret pallee (oh, you know what I mean) and I'm so excited.

Also, I read all the posts and I can't *believe* all the cool punk stuff y'all made. Holy cow.

So (even though the contest is so totally over) by way of introduction I'll share a few humble punk things I've made.

Skully wristwarmers using Jolly Roger chart here. (Sorry, I only have a link for that one; the chart for the one on the left is gone from her site.)

Kittyville Hat and Kittyvillesque Wristwarmers (my uber-simple pattern, which I'll send you if you just email me at sohopixieATtdsDOTnet).

Skully washcloth. (No, I didn't make the eyeball.)
Very punk ~ you know, it's all fun and games until somebody loses an eye. (Then there's blood...)

RULES

THESE ARE THE RULES - THEY ARE NOT OPTIONAL - IF YOU DON'T LIKE THEM - DON'T SIGN UP!! IT'S NOT VERY PUNK, BUT ITS REALITY!! If you like, you can do more these are the basic minimum guidelines!!
$25.00 MINIMUM - you can spend more if you like, but you have to spend this! This is a $50 total exchange commitment before postage.
CONTACT YOUR PAL AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK - YOU WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE EXCHANGE IF YOU DON'T - its nice, it lets them know you care. And be polite and respond to your pal. If you are nicer, you may get more gifties!
THIS IS A HALF SECRET/HALF OPEN EXCHANGE! You will be a secret punk pal till your first box is received, then it will be an open exchange from there.
POST WEEKLY ON YOUR BLOG - and it would be nice if occasionally there was a knitting or crochet or crafting entry, too. It helps your pal know what you like and again, it will get you better gifties! And post your gifties on your blog in a timely manner. Pals like it when you say thank you!
This exchange is only open to knitters and crocheters (?? is that a word? those who crochet....you know what I mean!) You must knit or crochet to participate, have a blog and be a little punk in mentality.
If you can't/don't follow these rules you will be kicked out of the exchange. I hate to be a hard ass, but I will be! Its only fair to all the good pals out there. So if you join, please play by the rules. If you have something happen and you can't play after joining, please e-mail me so that other arrangements can be made. Anyone who just bails will be blackballed for all future exchanges. And yes, the list started with the last one - lets not add any more names!

FOR THOSE WITH OUT OF COUNTRY PALS

Please use this link to check with the postal service for items considered contraband, that could get your package confiscated by the postal authorities. Yes, this really did happen in a couple instances last time! Things like yarn seem to be okay, but things like tea, get your entire package tossed. So its good to know what is allowed. Also make sure on the customs form to write that it is a gift and put a small dollar amount, it seems to get through customs faster!
Please be conscious with International Pals that you need to send boxes earlier, so that your pal receives her gifts about the same time as the rest of us. The mail service has gotten better but it is still 10 to 15 days behind domestic mail service.
