A round-about Contest Answer

So Shannon sent me this golf club cover pattern to go with the Malabrigo I sent her. Golf isn't the punkest thing, so I played a little '6 degrees of separation' to get to my answer (but I didn't go 6 steps!)

Golf Records is the label of Less than Jake. Ska is not so much my thing, but Less than Jake opened for Bad Religion when I saw them in concert in Montreal in December 2002. Montreal is in Canada. My favorite (though very unknown) band from Canada is Treble Charger and my favorite song by them is 'Even Grable'.

Someday Knit

Favorite Tool

This is rough. My big projects bag is full of cow-patterend items. A DPN case, a needle roll, a notions bag, even stitch markers! But, my favorite is my cow tape measure. Originally, my SP (from SP 8 I believe) bought it for me. It tickled me soooo much!! Even after much abuse from children, and being chewed on by my cat, I still used it. Finally, the tail fell off, I taped it back on. Then, my oldest pulled too hard...and it refused to retract the tape measure. It was time to give it up.

I was so sad that I went online and hunted down another tape measure. Exactly like the first one. My notions bag is usually in my purse (my on the go knitting bag), and I love having that little cow buddy with me to measure whatever I need!

Contest Swag!

So the mailman just came (6:15pm! How can he be that behind from one federal holiday?!?!). Anyway, he brought me funness!
In addition to the yarn & stitch markers Sunne told us was in the package, I also got delish smelling bath salts, sparkl-y iron on skulls and a do-rag! Thanks so much Sunne, for being such a great hostess! And the do-rag totally gets in touch with the motorcycle momma in me when paired with my brand new sunglasses.
Whaddaya think?

Now if only I weren't petrified of motorcycles. . . .

Punk Knits Contest

OK - So here is my contest entry. I really don't have much on the needles right now, let alone something punk. I've been feverishly knitting on my so-called-scarf for the red scarf project deadline. (that is the slowest moving stitch pattern EVER!) I guess the 'punkest' thing would have to be my halter top in the 'no one can tell me what to do' way, since I'm making up the pattern myself. It's also planned to be worn under my suit. .. so when I have to be corporate I can still be wearing a halter top and no bra and no one will know :) Unfortunately, I've lost momentum when I got thru the first skein and haven't picked it up in a month or so, but this is the latest picture

Also, If anyone is interested, I'm running a contest on my blog. The prize is the materials to make the Best Friends Bag from Knitty :)

It Looks Like I Have No Life

Or...I am the first to post in response to the contest.

Well, as far as punk things I am knitting...hm. I just finished another pair of those baby chucks. Man, I actually hate knitting them, I just realized this. Actually, OTN, I guess Goddess? Sure, why not.
